If you look at our leader board we have predominantly E10's and Ansmanns. TT01's and Atechs are also being run. I use a tt01 just because there are so many trick bits available and they are strong. The ansmmann is very capable out of the box, the E10 is probably the weekest of the bunch. That said the Atech is basically a copy of a tc3/4 and it handles the best out of all.
Its really personal choice, we have a limit on the rrp but as you can see by the results there is nothing really between them.

A-techI run the only A-tech in the group, when i wanna race i will try ma hardest and it normally comes out with a good result do to the fact and i int being big headed here but because the car has been set up bullraced ect, it handles fantastic, like i say comes out with good results i mean it can get me 1st 2nd or 3rd.
But if i get put into the wall i just fall out with the drivers of the other cars, then it means war! I am on their case and then my race ends in a rubbish position.

But to do well in the points its not all about speed and handling, its also being able to avoid accidents in front of you and being consistant

been asked a question this way the rules state any car to price 129.99 rrp
well losi are doing one 119 rrp with a few selling them as low as £75 so as the rules state can it be used but it comes standard will ball diffs

Whilst the car comes in below the price point, ball diffs are not allowed, so the Losi would not be within the rules. The reason why we don't allow ball diffs is because of their adjustability possible giving an unfair advantage. Traditionally Losi's are quite weak it probably wouldn't be a good choice anyway. Whilst i agree the kit choice is a little limited, it keeps a level playing field. Out of the box the a-tech is by far the best, but the Tamiya is the obvious choice as parts are so easy to get. The Ansmann if you are on a budget, just change the pionion for smoother running. Remember its RRP that counts, same with the speedo's so discounted prices are not relevant.
To cater for demand from our members that want that adjustability we have started an unlimited drift which is more open. At the moment we are just running for fun. We have cars varying from Corally RDX, Associated TC3, Hot Bodies Cyclone and a glut of chassis from the briscas with hotter motors. Ball diffs are allowed inc. locked and one ways.
It may well be that we end up with 2 drift classes, one BRISCA and one Unlimited, we also allow any body style in the unlimited.

is the atech the 89.99 car called a strada tc ?
thanks

No the A-tech is distributed by Schumacher, the Maverick Strada is by Mirage and is very capable. We ave one at the club, I'm sure more will follow as it is incredible value for money.
