Gear RatiosCum on Clive, whats the sp. on gear ratios?? Its an enigma to many of us, but I think knowledge that should be shared. I know the basics, as do many, but I don't understand how it will affect my drift car.

the bigger the motor gear = more speed less wheel spin hence no drift so more drag on the motor so = burnt out motor . smaller the motor gear = less speed more wheel spin hence loads of drift but it will still burn out the motor through more rpm but if gear is to small well lets just say you need a good supply of motors

dont i know it, thats why ive gone for a happy medium now 
Speed is no good without reliability its just a case of experimenting and finding the best balance of speed and reliability i think.
